Labour law to cover Chinese medical treatment

Law revisions aiming to recognise treatment, examination and certification given by registered Chinese medicine practitioners for workers' entitlement to benefits under Employees' Compensation Ordinance will take effect September 1.
The Labour Department said today the amendments are applicable to employees whose injuries, including occupational diseases as prescribed by the Employees' Compensation Ordinance, caused by accidents arising out of and in the course of employment happen on or after the effective date of the law revisions.
