“Cruise and Dine” with the Star Ferry and the Peninsula Hong Kong

On offer until 15 March 2011*, Peninsula guests and diners choosing this special package will depart at 6.15pm and travel in a 1960s open-top vintage bus to The Star Ferry’s exquisitely appointed Shining Star sightseeing boat for a 45-minute cruise around Victoria Harbour. Champagne will be served on board, followed by a three-course set dinner for two, including one glass of wine or one non-alcoholic drink per person, served in The Peninsula Lobby, as well as a cocktail at Salon de Ning, the hotel’s elegant lounge (or at The Bar on Sundays). Each diner will also receive a HK$ 300 gift certificate from The Peninsula Spa by ESPA, which may be used towards any treatment on the spa menu.

Priced at HK$ 1,288 for two people (subject to 10% service charge), the “Cruise and Dine” experience is ideal for a romantic treat during the holiday season, allowing passengers to enjoy Hong Kong’s impressive Christmas and Chinese New Year lighting displays on the harbour, as well as The Peninsula’s own stunning festive decorations.

The Shining Star has been modified and refurbished by The Star Ferry Company Limited to recreate the look and feel of earlier generation Star Ferry vessels in service from the 1920s to the 1950s, while The Peninsula, which opened in December 1928, now celebrating its 82nd anniversary, is Hong Kong’s oldest hotel.
