Former Leung neighbor tells of rooftop rumpus - Hong Kong - politics - Leung Chun-ying

A former neighbor of chief executive candidate Leung Chun-ying claims he and his family were bullied when they lived in Stanley.

He also questions whether Leung is the right person to lead Hong Kong.

Stephen Shiu Ding-yat, who produced the 3D version of Sex and Zen:Extreme Ecstasy, is the son of media figure Shiu Yeuk-yuen.

Shiu said that in 1993 he lived at 39A Tung Tau Wan Road while Leung and his family were in the adjoining 39B. However, the rooftop belonged to the Shius.

He said one night in the autumn of that year, he discovered Leung had installed an antenna on the rooftop.

When Leung's wife, Tong Ching-yi, was asked to remove it she refused, screaming: "You cannot remove it and you can never remove it."

Shiu tried to block Tong from going to the rooftop but she became emotional and rushed up there anyway.

"I told her we should wait until my aunt, Mrs Leung, returned to sort things out but she said `Who is Mrs Leung? I am Mrs Leung, Leung Chun-ying's wife'."

He said Tong became so unreasonable he was left with no choice but to call the police.

They asked her not to shout and to leave the rooftop but she refused.

"As the master of the house, if you cannot even manage your own family, how can you manage a city? I am a little bit scared," said Shiu, adding: "I would rather have a chief executive who is willing to discuss matters."
