Hong Kong’s newest meat-lover’s haunt brings a little sass to the typical steakhouse experience. Named after the popular Argentine dance, Tango feels more like a backyard barbecue in Buenos Aires than the white-tablecloth business-lunch setting often associated with the city’s classic steakhouses. In place of the leather banquettes and masculine décor, wooden high-top tables sit on a terrace and a large wood-and-coal parilla – a traditional South American grill that can be moved closer or farther from the flame — is in the back.

La Crêperie, which opened last summer, is becoming a regular hangout for Francophiles craving an authentic taste of Brittany. When deciding where to sample the spirit of Christmas in Hong Kong, the Tangs had much to choose from. They could have visited the 20-foot-tall replica of Barcelona's La Sagrada Familia cathedral, designed by a Dutch paper sculptor, at the Elements mall in West Kowloon. Or they could have wandered among the 100 Nordman fir Christmas trees, shipped in from the Prince of Denmark's private estate, at the Pacific Place mall in the Central district. Or perhaps they could have viewed the two-story rotating wooden head created by street artist Michael Lau at the Times Square mall in the shopping mecca of Causeway Bay.

Before dipping your hand into that bowl of M&Ms at the holiday party, think about what you're about to do. A lot. A new study finds that people who imagine themselves consuming many pieces of candy eat less of the real thing when given the chance. The finding, say experts, could lead to the development of better weight-loss strategies.
