Ossie Clark revival

Ossie Clark, the eponymous British fashion house may soon find its way back to your wardrobe. And not just vintage pieces from its seventies heyday. Ossie Clark was one of Britain's most successful brands, defining the Swinging Sixties along with designers such as Biba and Mary Quaint. He is also known to be a great inspiration for many fashion designers, including Yves Saint Laurent and Tom Ford. Ossie Clark and Ossie Clark for Radley clothes are highly sought after, and are still worn by models like Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.

H&M teams up with Marimekko

Another season means another design collaboration for H&M. Barely a week after the Cavalli collection has hit stores, the Swedish conglomerate announces yet another design collaboration, this time with Finnish textile giant Marimekko.

Those who condemn the fashion industry as promoting eating disorders amoung young girls must really be miffed at this. The world's first Barbie store offers make-overs and manicures to girls as young as 3. They can even try on Barbie branded clothing and strut them down a mini-runway.

Bulgari Group grows

Luxury brand Bulgari presented their financial statements for it's third quarter 2007 this week. The statements highlighted a turnover of $355 million increased by 13% in comparison to the same period of last year. In the first nine months of the year the turnover increased by 14% at comparable exchange rates from $945 to $1,026 billion.

Undercolors of Benetton

Undercolors, the underwear range of Benetton is expanding. This year, the multicolour brand planned on opening thirty stores of which they launched 50% already. For the upcoming year, Benetton is looking at opening another fifty branches. Barcelona, Athens, Warschau, Rome and Venice have recently opened new stores, Madrid and Lissabon are coming up next.
