World's Largest Timepiece Event Opens in Hong Kong
The world's largest watch-and-clock trade event, the HKTDC Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair, opened today, celebrating its 30th anniversary with a wide range of major brands and 700 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions taking part.

 The Mondaine Official Swiss Railway Watch has been selected as one of the outstanding examples of 20th century design by the Design Museum in London and the Museum of Modern Art, New York. |  Even though this watch is actually a steampunk-inspired creation — made apparent by the name, Vulcania — I can't help but think it has a futuristic steampunk feel due to the clean metals and design. Designer Fabrice Gonet dreamed up this watch three years ago and it is finally becoming a reality by being manufactured for HD3 Complication, a watchmaker. |
