The Turanor PlanetSolar, the first solar-powered boat to travel around the world, arrives in Hong Kong on August 15, 2011. Turanor PlanetSolar, a 31- by 15-metre white catamaran was unveiled to the world last year and has embarked on a world tour from Monaco since September 2010 to promote solar energy for pollution-free shipping. The Swiss-flagged boat, which was built in Germany and cost $26 million, is topped by 500 square metres of black solar panels, with a bright white cockpit sticking up in the centre.

Photographs acquired by Reuters and taken about an hour after the U.S. assault on Osama bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad in Pakistan show three dead men lying in pools of blood, but no weapons. The photos, taken by a Pakistani security official who entered the compound after the early morning raid on Monday, show two men dressed in traditional Pakistani garb and one in a t-shirt, with blood streaming from their ears, noses and mouths.

Sterilized pet rabbits dressed in traditional outfits are pictured with their owners during a wedding ceremony in Hong Kong on Feb. 13, where organizers also attempted to deliver messages of promoting kindness to animals. Rabbits are the third most neglected animals in Hong Kong after cats and dogs, according to figures from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), showing that around 200 rabbits are abandoned by their owners each year. The Hong Kong Rabbit Society says the situation could worsen over the Lunar New Year, which began on February 3 and marks the start of the Year of the Rabbit in the Chinese zodiac.
