As an iPhone user, one of the things I've found to be increasingly irksome is the customer review system built into Apple's mobile App Store. It's as basic as you get, which follows the design ethos found in the many of Apple's hardware products, like the no-button Mighty Mouse and disappearing buttons and I/O ports on its notebook computers and LCD displays.

For a long time, the Web browser was something of a poor relation in Apple’s OS X. It’s easy to forget that the primary browser in the first version of OS X was Internet Explorer and in recent years, many Mac users preferred Mozilla’s Firefox to Apple’s own Safari. But in the last couple of years, Safari has come into its own as a much improved application on the Mac and with versions for Windows and the iPhone.
Regardless of what Apple honchos said at today's shareholder meeting, I have come to the sad conclusion that Steve Jobs will never return to the helm at Apple. This is another of those “I hope of am wrong, but…” posts that I hate to write. But, skipping the shareholder meeting is a more than subtle hint that Jobs won’t be back in the active role he’s enjoyed, if at all.
