NCR gangster killed in encounter

Hardcore criminal of the NCR region Jatan Sirohi was killed in a police encounter that ensued after criminals made an attempt to get him released while he was being taken to Bulandshahar jail.
Sirohi was facing trials in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, police sources said. After being produced in a Rohini court in Delhi, he was being taken back to Bulandshahar jail late on Thursday night.
Some of Sirohi's supporters wanting his release opened fire on the police squad. Police fired back and the criminal was killed in the clash.
The encounter took place near Sikandrabad, about 15 km from here.
Sirohi's wife says the cops involved should be interrogated. She has also demanded an inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Sirohi's family members and sympathisers also blocked traffic in Bulandshahar for some time.
