British designer Alexander McQueen dies of asphyxiation, leaves suicide note behind
The 40-year-old fashion designer, born Lee Alexander McQueen, was found dead at his £2million (US$3,12 million) London flat last Thursday, on the eve of his mother's funeral. The contents of the suicide note found at the scene have not been disclosed.
The Westminster Coroner's Court heard that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. A post-mortem examination showed that he died as a result of asphyxiation and hanging. The inquest was adjourned until April 28.
