Carry On Regardless: Case of injured Swiss expat - Thailand - Pattaya - expat - accident

Banglamung police and the emergency services received a call on the evening of the 23rd March from staff members of a convenient store on the Naklua Road to report that a foreigner had come in and bought three bottles of Thai whiskey then left.

The only thing strange about the incident was that the man was covered in gashes and blood soaked bandages.   A conscientious staff member believed he had just been in an accident so had him followed and called the authorities.   Officers visited the man’s room at Siam Platinum Place not far from the store and found 61 year old Swiss expat Mr. Willi Giger lying on his blood soaked bed in a drunken stupor.   Nurses attended to his wounds and he was finally taken to hospital for further treatment.  Officers questioned the hotel security staff who told them the man had checked in that weekend to go to the Music Festival.
