The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is planning ceremonies to make merit after the recent street protests.

The BMA will hold a merit-making ceremony to bless the city after the street battles, which caused damage estimated at 9.49 million baht to city property and Governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra said the merit-making ceremony would be held on April 26.

City Hall would ask all temples and religious places in Bangkok to hold ceremonies.

Buddhist and Brahmin religious rites will be held and Muslims and Christians will be encouraged to organise activities at their mosques and churches.
