Grand Opening of Navy Radio Network

Vice Admiral Chaiwat, the Commander of Navy Forces Region 1 officiated at the event which celebrated the formation of the radio network which will allow for direct communication between Private Boats and the Naval Coastguard Unit. It is hoped that problems at sea will now be dealt with quicker than before and users of the radio network will provide the Coastguard with information regarding possible illegal activities at sea. The frequency of the new channel is HF 8249 Mhz.
