Thai government wants crew of weapons plane freed
Mr Kasit yesterday said the cabinet suggested to the Office of the Attorney-General's last week that the crew from Kazakhstan and Belarus be freed.
Government spokesman Panitan Wattanayakorn said the cabinet could not order the OAG to release the crew but made the suggestion because the case "is very complicated and sensitive".
Mr Kasit told reporters here the crew would probably face legal procedures in their home countries.
The OAG on Friday postponed a decision on whether the five suspects should be indicted, citing the need to seek more information.
