Eurocopter Secures Sales Contract For EC135 Helicopter With Thailand

The sale followed the establishment of Eurocopter's first branch office in Thailand in December last year, according to a statement issued by the company in conjunction with the ongoing Singapore Airshow here.

Eurocopter said the EC135's outstanding performance, high versatility and low noise level made it an ideal tool for various public authority operations, ranging from patrol and airborne surveillance to police and emergency medical services missions.

The light, twin-engine helicopter will be delivered to the MNRE in December this year and will be utilised for exploration and surveillance flights to help preserve natural resources and protect the natural environment of Thailand, it added.

The EC135 helicopter is already flying in many countries of Asia such as Thailand, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Malaysia and China.
