Bangkok Airways and EVA Air sign codeshare agreement - Thailand - Business - Aviation - Bangkok Airways - EVA Air - Puttipong

Bangkok Airways and EVA Air signed a codeshare agreement for services from Amsterdam, Vienna, London (Heathrow), and Taipei to Thailand’s key destinations - Koh Samui, Phuket, and Chiang Mai - effective in March, 2010. EVA will operate the international flights, and Bangkok Air will handle the domestic service.

For this occasion, Captain Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, president of Bangkok Airways, was very positive about this latest cooperation between the two carriers. “With the strength of Bangkok Airways’ feeding network coupled with EVA Air’s long-haul expertise, I strongly believe this partnership will benefit Thailand’s tourism outlook to a great extent,” Captain Puttipong said.

As soon as the codeshare routes are activated, EVA Air passengers traveling to/from Amsterdam, Vienna, London, and Taipei will enjoy smooth transit through Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport and onward to Koh Samui, Phuket, and Chiang Mai within the minimum connecting time of one hour. Bangkok Airways’ Boutique Lounge is available to passengers traveling in economy class and the Blue Ribbon Club is designed for those in business class.
