Apple iPhone 4G might be revealed on June 22 - Apple - Technology - iPhone - Mobile Phone - Smartphone

Speculations are that Apple could reveal the anticipated next-generation iPhone on June 22nd at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, California.

"For this particular occasion, Apple has once again reserved the very conference center where the company announced the three previous versions of the iPhone," Messany reported on ModMyi.com. "So all signs, indeed, point to June 22nd proving the 4th gen iPhone's 'big day.' Knowing Apple, however, we probably won't know for sure until the evening of June 21st."

The iPhone 4G is anticipated a lot partly due to the release of iPhone OS 4 recently. Apple incorporates multitasking abilities and a host of other new improvements in the new OS. In addition, the hardware too is expected to be upgraded significantly.

According to rumours, specifications include a larger, higher-resolution display (940×640), upgraded camera with LED flash, video calling, RFID integration, a front-facing camera, and possibly an Apple A4 processor (the same processor powering the iPad) under the hood, IntoMobile writes.

The iPhone 4G might apply some sort of solar-power technology as well as support for 802.11n WiFi. IntoMobile also expects Apple to revamp the phone's design in line with the rest of their product lineup – brushed aluminum unibody construction, like the iPad/iMac/Macbook Pro.
