Thai New Year celebrations from all over Thailand

Thailand's Ministry of Culture joins forces with Prachuab Khirikhan province to organize an art festival in Hua Hin, featuring art workshops, photo exhibitions, art market and stage performances.

Offering alms in accordance with the Mon tradition, and bathing the Buddha image by pouring water through a bamboo gutter. Admire the procession of traditional Mon flags. Dress in Mon costumes and try Mon traditional cuisine.

Participate in the Kong Khao ceremony, give alms to monks. Create a sand pagoda, enjoy local entertainment and folk play, and a must-see activity is the event of carrying a lady in which a male will ask for permission from a lady and carry her to the sea and bring her back, after which they perform a folk dance together.
