Boy Treated for Fish in Rectum

THAILAND - A second year primary, or 2nd grade student, spent his summer vacation fishing. Unfortunately, while enjoying his leisure time, a fish swam up his anus and he was sent to a hospital.
Doctor Suchart Tepharak, deputy director of Phijit hospital said that
emergency patient, Sornanan Phosri-an eight-year old boy, was admitted
after a 4 centimeter fish swam up his anus.
The boy’s parents said that their son and his friends went fishing at a pond in the village. While fishing, he was squatting and a fish managed to get up into his anus. The parents tried to pull the fish out, but were not successful as the fish was still alive and moving, so they took him to the hospital.
The doctor has seen the fish in an x-ray and for treatment, he will have to kill it or make it unconscious first and will find a way to take it out later.
