BELLEVUE, Wash. - A deadly game has claimed the life of another local teenager. It's called "the choking game" and it's quietly being played in homes all across America, with lethal and heartbreaking consequences.

"There aren't words to describe the hole that's in my heart," said Ken Tork, the father of a Bellevue boy who lost his life two weeks ago.

By all accounts 15-year-old Kevin Tork was a happy, well-adjusted kid, but behind his bedroom door he kept a quiet secret. It was there that he played "The Choking Game," also knows as "The Good Kids Game" because so many of the teens who take part don’t do drugs or alcohol.

The game has been around for years, but it’s finding new popularity with “how to” videos posted on the internet.

The game is played by kids who cut off oxygen to their brains by restricting blood flow around the throat. Players then lose consciousness for a few seconds as friends look on.

But when done alone, kids often pass out and never wake up -- getting choked to death by a rope or cord.
