Rep. David Miller wins Democratic nomination for Illinois state comptroller
The closely-fought Democratic race for state comptroller ended Wednesday night when Raja Krishnamoorthi called State Rep. David Miller to concede.
Miller was leading with 8,328 more votes than Krishnamoorthi with just about all the precincts in the state reporting.
Attorney Clint Krislov was running third.
Krishnamoorthi, an Indian native who grew up in Peoria, was deputy state treasurer. Miller is a dentist and a rising member of the state legislature from the South Suburbs.
He will face Republican former State Treasurer Judy Baar Topinka in November.
