Man tries to commit suicide by sticking cucumber in his rear end - China - Hong Kong - weird - Asia

A Chinese man was taken to hospital to have a cucumber removed from his bottom, after he inserted it in an apparent suicide attempt.

62-year-old Chin Wi claimed the method was a variation of the Japanese ritual suicide, hara-kiri, which is usually carried out with a sword slashing one's updomen.

He was found lying in a pool of blood by his daughter in Hong Kong, The Sun reported.

Medics said the man suffered a severe tear to his rear, but his injury was not life-threatening.
