A 'big dog' and a dogsbody to face off in showdown

ANTHONY Mundine had one thing to say to Melbourne Storm star Greg Inglis when the friends spoke by telephone as Mundine prepared for tomorrow night's World Boxing Association super-middleweight title defence against Sam Soliman.

"I told him that I'm coming down here to run his town for a few days. He'll have to step down as mayor and I'm filling in," Mundine said. "The big dog's coming to town."

The showman Mundine and more subdued Soliman today will attend the weigh-in for the fight at a construction site in the Melbourne central business district. The 33-year-old Mundine tomorrow night will be defending for the fourth time the title he won last March by stopping Soliman in the ninth round.
