Vietnam’s Under-23 squad and Thailand fought to a scoreless draw at My Dinh Stadium on the final day of the Vietnam Football Federation Cup on Monday.

The Vietnamese U23s had won the championship after a 3-1 victory over China on Saturday. They had previously defeated Singapore 1-0 in the opener Thursday.

Thailand, who drew 2-2 with China in the first match and 1-1 with Singapore in the second, fought fiercely as they wanted a win on the final day to take second place.

Both teams played attack football, but both sides missed several wide-open opportunities.

With one point from the draw, Vietnam finished the tournament with seven points while Thailand had only three points after three draws.
