Thailand forced to shuffle pack

Bangkok Post 16.11.2009 10:11
Thailand forced to shuffle pack - Thailand - Sports - Soccer - Asian Cup

Goalkeeper Sinthaweechai Hathairattanakool and Natthaphong Samana are both suspended for Thailand's home match against Singapore in the Asian Cup qualifying tournament on Wednesday after picking up yellow cards in Saturday's 3-1 victory.

There are also concerns that midfielder Surat Sukha may not be fit due to injury.

The Thai team returned to Bangkok in good spirits yesterday after their fine win in Singapore, which moved them into second place in Group E with five points

A victory at Rajamangala Stadium on Wednesday would give them a very good chance of qualifying.

Head coach Bryan Robson said Kittisak Rawangpa would take over in goal while Natthaphong will be replaced by Rangsan Vivatchaichok.

He said that if Surat is not fit he can be replaced by either Peter Laeng or Nirut Surasiang.
