Thailand's Boonchu Ruangkit fired a seven-under 65 and set multiple records Sunday in winning the Chang Thailand Senior Masters.

Boonchu finished three rounds at the Royal Gems Golf and Sports Club course at 21-under 195, the lowest score in European Senior Tour history by three shots. He won the tournament by 11 shots, the largest winning margin in tour history by two strokes.

Boonchu pocketed 2.1 million baht for his victory.

"To be honest, I didn't know that there was a chance to break some Senior Tour records," said Boonchu , "but I am delighted that I have managed to get my name in the history books and extremely proud to have done it in my home country as well."

Frankie Minoza of the Philippines took the runner-up spot for the second week in a row after shooting a 71. Joining him in second place on 206 was Thailand's Jamnien Chitprasong (73) and Japan's Katsuyoshi Tomori (69).

With his win at last week's Brunei Senior Masters, Boonchu became the first player to win consecutive European Senior Tour events since England's Peter Mitchell triumphing at the Scottish Seniors Open and the Italian Seniors Open in 2008.

"I am really happy not only with my second win but also that it will help boost Thai golf," said Boonchu, who is president of the Professional Golf Association of Thailand.

"I hope my win helps motivate golfers in the kingdom."
