Soccer: India To Face Hong Kong In An International Friendly
AIFF is yet to confirm this fixture officially, however FIFA website shows that India and Hong Kong will go head to head on the 4th of next month. Due to the unavailability of New Delhi’s Ambedkar Stadium because of the Commonwealth Games, the match will be played at Pune's Balewadi Stadium.
India have failed to win both their last two meetings against Hong Kong. The 'Men In Blue' were held to a 2-2 draw by the East Asian nation in 2006 and back in 2009 Hong Kong defeated Bob Houghton's Indian side 2-1.
However India have never faced Hong Kong on home soil and so if the match does take place, the 2011 Asian Cup participants will get an opportunity to end their winless streak against the 136th ranked nation.
