One dead in two-alarm Toronto blaze
Two people lived on the main floor of the residence but one person managed to escape the flames with minor burns, a fire official said at the scene.
A man was found at the back of the residence without any vital signs. They managed to carry him out of the residence and administer CPR but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The heat was intense, the fire official said, and it took firefighters until 11 p.m. to put out the fire.
