North Korean State Media now on Twitter
The Twitter profile shows a list of its English-language stories against a background of the North's red-and-blue national flag.
A feed under the name "kcna—dprk" which are acronyms of Pyongyang's state Korean Central News Agency and the country's official name, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, provides links to the Agency's news stories.
It is uncertain whether or not the Pyongyang-based news agency is operating the site, however, if it is, it does not mean ordinary citizens can use Twitter.
